The National Library of the Chuvash Republic, with the support of the Federal Agency of Ethnic Affairs and the Ministry of Culture of Chuvashia, held the III All-Russian Festival of Multinational Poetry of Russia «Rainbow over the Volga = Atal Asamach», dedicated to the 100th anniversary of the formation of the Chuvash Autonomous Region and the 130th anniversary of the birth of the classic of Chuvash poetry K. V. Ivanov.
The purpose of the festival is to preserve and to interpenetrate the national cultures of the peoples living in Russia, to strengthen the interethnic cooperation.
One of the main events of the festival was the poetic etude «Together. Perle» in the format of a TV show, which was broadcast on the air of the National Television and Radio Company of Chuvashia. The hosts of the TV show were the writers and candidates of philological sciences Elena Narbi and Ekaterina Yakimova.
Poems of poets from different regions of the Russian Federation and neighboring countries were recited as a part of a poetic etude.
The role of poetry in national literature, the peculiarities of language and poetic thinking were discussed at a round table by the masters of the Chuvash word, famous poets.
Within the framework of the festival, the following events were held in the library: master classes, poetic-art performances.
The National Library of Chuvashia sincerely thanks the participants of the III All-Russian Festival of Multinational Poetry of Russia «Rainbow over the Volga = Atal Asamach» and hopes that the next year the festival will allow them to gather on the hospitable Chuvash land.
