The exposition “The Sun over Sura” dedicated to the 290th anniversary of the birth of the outstanding architect  Peter Egorov opened on October 8 in the Silver Age Gallery of the National Library of the Chuvash Republic.

This is the result of the first plein air named after P. E. Egorov, held in the summer of 2021 in Yadrin district, in the small homeland of the famous architect. The forum brought together thirteen talented natives of Chuvashia from St. Petersburg, Moscow, Cheboksary,  where along with famous masters of the brush, students of the St. Petersburg Academy of Arts named after I.E. Repin participated in it. It was also attended by students of  I.Ya. Yakovlev Chuvash State Pedagogical University and graduates of Cheboksary Art School.

The vernissage attracted the cultural community, creative youth, art lovers and became a bright landmark event.

The celebration began with a welcome video message by a deputy of the State Duma of Russia. Then congratulations were sounded from the officials of the Chuvash Republic. Honored Artists of the Russian Federation also emphasized the value of the creative project.

The following words of pride were uttered for the famous native of Chuvashia: “The name of Peter Egorovich Egorov is forever inscribed in golden letters in the annals of Russian culture, in the history of architecture of Russia, the city of St. Petersburg”.

The atmosphere of creativity reigned in the hall throughout the opening ceremony.
