For many years, business partnership and warm friendly relations have connected the library communities of the Chuvash Republic and the Republic of Tatarstan. In order to exchange experience in the modernization of libraries as a part of the national project “Culture”, on November 18, 2019, a professional trip of library specialists of Chuvashia to the Belobezvodnenskaya model library-branch No. 12 of the Zelenodolsky district of the Republic of Tatarstan took place.

The trip was attended by representatives of the Ministry of Culture and the National library of the Chuvash Republic, colleagues from municipal libraries, the head of the rural settlement, directors of libraries and librarians of municipal libraries, who won the competition for the creation of model libraries in 2020 as a part of the national project “Culture”.

The meeting was held in the format of a round table during which specialists from Chuvashia were able to get answers to their questions about the progress of the project, creating a comfortable environment for users, using new forms of work.

Colleagues from Tatarstan held an excursion of the library and shared their experiences in creating a modern library space and thematic zones.

The updated Belobezvodnenskaya library has a game room, a video room, an area for self-development and communication, master classes, comfortable areas for reading, listening to audio books, coworking. The latest technical devices (musical equipment, a digital microscope, an interactive globe with augmented virtual reality, game consoles), a rich fund of printed, electronic and audio books, access to electronic resources, and connection to the funds of the National Electronic Library have made the library a center of attraction for all age groups .

Cultural workers from Chuvashia, having visited the «library of the new generation», noted the importance of getting acquainted with the innovative experience of the employees of the Centralized Library System of the Zelenodolsk Municipal District for improving the quality of library information services and expressed gratitude to colleagues from Tatarstan for the warm and hearty welcome.
